"George and Richard in Wave" | 2009
oil on canvas
36 x 48
Artist Statement: "My work is both personal and regional. I have always drawn from memory. As a youth, growing up in an active fishing village, I had the opportunity to participate in the along shore fishing activities. It is on these experiences that my work is based.
These are personal and intimate observations of events and activities I am most interested in.

Sculptor
"Touch Me" | 2008
Carved Granite, 3 Units
Artist Statement: "The imagery of my work is related to nature and organic in form, derived from primitive animal and sea life, plant pod, shell forms and the human body. This organic iconography suggests themes of germination, growth, cyclic changes, and regeneration, all which relate to human life, our basic life needs and urges. As an artist, I wish to cause the viewer to become more aware of his/her body, size, and surrounding space as well as to enhance one’s connection to the natural world.” --Anne Alexander
