AMY ROBBINS WILSON - Belfast, Maine
Amy Robbins-Wilson grew up the oldest of three girls in a small town in Maine. Her first performances were singing in church and singing the national anthem at local sporting events. She further developed her art at Bates College.
After graduation, she taught English in Spain for a year. A scholarship resulted in a Masters from Lesley University after which she returned to Maine to care for her dying grandparents. After their passing, she earned a degree in Ritual Song and Chant from the University of Limerick and returned to the USA to work as an artist in residence at Ithaca College. She married in 2004 and became a mother in 2005.
Amy’s most recent work includes a book called Transformational Mothering – A Prayerful Companion for New Mothers and a CD named The Divine Hours of Motherhood – Lullabies and Prayers for Mothers and Babies. [read more]
