Linda Packard – Bangor, ME (web)
Painter
"Stonington" | Oil on Panel | 12"X12"
Artist Statement: "Elements of nature have always been the starting point for my work. I am drawn to small, intimate moments in a landscape and to vistas of dramatic scale. I strive to allow the work to evolve on its own, while simply enjoying the physicality and sensuality of the paint. Sometimes a piece will complete itself in one sitting, while others may sit awhile waiting for my response. The resulting landscape, real or imagined, is always a place I want to be." --Linda Packard

Holly Smith – Rockport, ME
Painter
"Owls Head Cliffs" | Painting
Artist Statement: As a Maine native, Holly has always found inspiration in the ever-changing beauty and moods of her surroundings. Painting is a natural expression of her creative vision, and she strives to show others the meaningful, healing tranquility that the Maine landscape offers through colors, shapes, and compositional relationships. In the exploration of Maine's natural environments, Holly absorbs the spectacular views of the coastline with its inlets and rolling hillsides, feels the energy of the vegetation and rocks, and smells the sweet aromas of the fir trees and flowers. Her interpretations of these experiences offer glimpses of Maine's magnificence, heritage, and romance, and give her paintings a truly authentic quality.
